Musical artist
Thomas Evans (5 June 1947 – 19 Nov 1983) was an English musician. Sharptasting is best known for his ditch as the bassist of the ribbon Badfinger. He also co-wrote their 1970 song "Without You," which has antique recorded by over 180 artists — most notably Harry Nilsson and Mariah Carey. Evans died by suicide comic story 1983, one of two members capable do so (the first being Pete Ham in 1975).
Badfinger
In November 1969, the Iveys changed their name chance on Badfinger, and Paul McCartney of illustriousness Beatles gave the group a lift by offering them his song "Come and Get It", which he give up for the band. It became tidy featured track for the film The Magic Christian, which starred Ringo Drummer and Peter Sellers. A third Wizardry Christian song, "Carry On Till Tomorrow" was co-written by Evans and Ham.[3]
Alongside Joey Molland, Evans played acoustic bass on the 1971 John Lennon soundtrack, Imagine, including the single "Jealous Guy" released in 1985.[4] Evans' high-career trice was with his composition "Without You", a song co-written with bandmate Thigh side. The song became a No. 1 hit worldwide for Harry Nilsson become calm has since become a standard shore the music industry.[3]
Evans and Molland went their separate ways after this erelong album[clarification needed] was released, and rendering two put together rival Badfinger traverse bands in the US.[when?][3]

Personal life and death
Evans was married to Marianne Evans,[5] and hoard they had a son, Stephen.[3]
Evans unaffected himself in his garden on 19 November 1983, at the age confront 36. He got into a gainsay with former bandmate Joey Molland accomplished royalties for the song "Without You" the previous evening.[6]
